Career

He appeared in eight episodes of Doctors playing the character Noah 'Smithy' Smithson, a mentally ill patient who was the love interest of receptionist Ruth Pearce. The couple met at The Beeches mental institution.

Smithy returned to the serial in March 2010, appearing at Ruth's place of work. When Ruth discovered that he had been living outside she took him in and the two resumed their relationship for a while, but things didn't go to plan as Smithy had to be sectioned again. He has not been seen since 9 April 2010.

In 2009 Marsh directed the hugely successful ESC production of the musical Guys and Dolls.

Marsh also appeared in a one-off episode of the TV series Missing on BBC One, playing the character of Jamie Garrison.
